Redeemer Bible Church Students Pastor Job Overview:

Redeemer Bible Church is a growing church of 2000 weekly attenders in Gilbert, AZ in the Phoenix metroplex. RBC is a Calvinistic, baptistic, dispensational Bible church in one of the fastest growing areas in the U.S. Our high school and jr. high students have an average weekly attendance of over 100 (with a volunteer staff of 20 adults and a part-time intern) and are looking for an experienced shepherd to help them "know, love, and serve Jesus." This is a full-time position with benefits.

Accountable to: Pastor of Adult Ministries Weekly Hourly Requirement: 45 hours

General Responsibilities:

In serving as a Pastor, his general functions as a pastor will include but not be limited to:

• Meet all biblical qualifications for the role of pastor found in Scripture.
• Participate in Pastoral care responsibilities, including hospital visitation, counseling, weddings, funerals, etc., as needed.
• Maintain agreement with the Doctrinal Statement of Marriage and Sexuality, Mission, Values, and Employee Handbook.
• Be mentored by the Executive Pastor who oversees student ministries for the purpose of growth in ministry and life.
• Acquire the necessary academic training necessary for pastoral ministry.
• Be a self-starter in his own growth as a believer and as a pastor.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Job Description

Specific Responsibilities Pertaining to the RBC High School and Jr. High Ministry

This includes, but is not limited to:

• Shepherd the high school and jr. high students by preaching, teaching, counseling, and care.
• Develop a high school and jr. high ministry based on sound biblical teaching through Bible study, discipleship, evangelism, worship, and prayer.

• Oversee the planning and implementation of l activities that promote healthy relationships in Christ including things like retreats, summer camp, monthly activities, service projects, youth missions, etc.
• Oversee the ministry volunteers, including their recruitment, training, mentorship, etc.
• Oversee the ministry budgets for high school and jr. high.
• Oversee the ongoing communication of events to students as well as parents.
• Oversee the junior high ministry, including volunteers, training, activities, teaching, etc.
