4th and 5th Grade Language Arts Teacher – Grace Christian Academy  

Grace Christian Academy in Taipei, Taiwan is an International School, founded in 1998, with more than 180 students and 30 faculty members, primarily from the US. Qualified teachers must have a heart to share the Gospel. The teachers are not missionaries, but full-time career professionals who see God use their skills to affect children for today and for eternity.

The fourth and fifth-grade students are separated for their academic courses between two teachers. The curriculum used for the children is from the US, except for an hour each day for Mandarin language studies.

The position calls for the homeroom responsibilities for grade 4 and about two hours per day for Language Arts for each grade level. Another teacher from the US covers Math, Science, and Social Studies, with about 2 hours per day for each grade level.

• Homeroom duties include:
  • Morning devotionals.
  • Accompanying students to and from their nonacademic classes.
  • A 30-minute daily Bible class.
  • Lunch and recess supervision.
  • Daily written contact with parents.
