Administrative Assistant
Qualifications:
· Must be a dedicated Christian. This person need not be a member (nor is required to become a member) of New Hope.· Education and similar work experience will be considered.· Strong organizational skills and attention to deadlines for work.· Strong computer skills are imperative (MS Windows, word, Excel, Assess, PowerPoint, outlook) 60 WPM with accuracy and transcribing necessary.· Proficiency in the use of standard office tools: copy machine, fax, scanning, etc.· Have excellent command of English composition and punctuation.

Job Duties: (not limited to these)
1. Maintenance and organization of the secretary's office, work room, reception area.2. Ordering and maintenance of office supplies and equipment.3. Pick up, distribution and dissemination of all mail, packages, and correspondence, including the church's e-mail.4. Copy, file and keep organize all letters, correspondence, materials, sermons, meeting notes, records/bills, and other assigned materials.5. Keep up to date record of Pastor's calendar and schedule, set appointments as requested.6. Make appointments and receive visitors per direction of the Pastor.7. Take Pastor's calls, get all information needed and correct in a friendly manner. Know how and when to interrupt the Pastor for emergencies.8. Keep Pastor informed as to deaths, illness and other crises of the church family.9. Communicate with the church family as needed/requested by pastor or staff.10. Prepare information needed for Deacon's Meetings, Committee Meetings, Business Meeting, etc.11. Type, proof, and print weekly prayer list, worship bulletins, and "Order of Service."12. Prepare any letters/correspondence needed.13. Keep accurate membership records (new members, baptisms, weddings, deaths, etc.)14. Maintain and update all records, forms and church literature ordering paperwork.15. Compile and submit the Annual Church Profile to the local association.16. Serve as the "go to" person between the local and state associations, to disseminate information between all parties.17. Other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
The office is open Monday – Thursday, 8am to 330 pm.We currently have a receptionist who works on Thursday; our previous Admin worked Monday to Wednesday.This position is for THREE days a week, and the church is willing to be flexible on which three days (19.5 hours/week).
