Job Description

Art Teacher K-8 – Tree of Life Christian School  

• Inspire Creativity: Design, prep & deliver engaging art lessons that foster creativity, self-expression, & a love for art in students from 4yr to 8th grade.
• Christ-Centered Learning: Integrate biblical themes and values into the art curriculum, fostering a spiritual connection through artistic exploration & expression.
• Differentiated Instruction: Collaborate with staff to utilize a variety of teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring all students thrive in the art room.
• Curriculum Development: Develop a cohesive art curriculum that aligns with state standards, while incorporating the school’s Christian values.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive and nurturing classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, & a love for learning.
• Communication & Collaboration: Communicate effectively with parents, students, & staff regarding the art program, student progress, & upcoming projects.
• Professional Development: Actively participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in art education.
• This position is part-time (15 hr/wk), requiring an art education background, experience with classroom management, & a passion to serve the neighborhood & community in the name of Jesus!
