Pleasant Dale Church seeks a part-time Assistant Director of Children’s Ministry to assist the Director of Children’s Ministry in discipling children to know, love, follow, and serve Jesus Christ.

Job Description

Qualifications:

1. Acknowledge Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.
2. Sense a genuine passion and enthusiasm for children’s ministry.
3. Have the ability to integrate technology as needed.
4. Have a relevant degree and/or experience working with children.

Duties:

1. Be responsible for midweek ministries for grades 3 – 5 (currently PDX).  This includes recruiting volunteers for these activities.
2. Assist with any programs or events that involve children and their families.
3. Communicate programming and special events through various forms of marketing sources, including Planning Center.
4. Attend Staff, Ministry of Christian Education, and Ministry of Pastoral Care meetings. 
5. Assist in the organization of outreach events for children and families.
6. Assist with the check-in and check-out process (once/month)
7. Work collaboratively with ministry staff to provide comprehensive faith formation opportunities to further the vision of the church. 
8. Assist with reviewing and selecting curriculum materials to be used in children’s ministry.
9. Assist with training and encouraging volunteers for leadership with the children’s ministry (Sunday School, Junior Worship, Children’s Church, and Wednesday evening activities, etc.). 
10. Other duties as assigned.
