Chinese Christian Church of Virginia (CCCVA) is earnestly seeking an assistant to the pastor:

Job Description:

In addition to preaching, teaching Sunday school, the assistant to the pastor is expected to

• Provide assistant to the senior pastor in leading of Cantonese congregation,

• With an outreach spirit of ministry and church growth,

• Facilitate and guide small groups through fellowship group ministries,

• Encourage and train leaders/coworkers of church ministries.

Position Qualifications:

The successful candidate should

• Have spiritual maturity, holy conduct, daily prayer life and demonstrate Christian love toward church congregation,

• Recent graduate of MDiv or at the last year towards to obtain a MDiv from an evangelical seminary in North America,

• Accept Reformed doctrine. Preference will be given to candidate who is from seminary or currently attending a Reformed church,

• Have the ability to preach fluently in Cantonese and communicate effectively in English and/or Mandarin

• Have good communication and leadership skills, and be a good team player.

Chinese Christian Church of Virginia is a member of the Presbyterian Church in America and is belong to Potomac Presbytery. We are located in Falls Church, Fairfax County, a culturally and ethnically diverse community. A recent study shows that a rapid growth in the minority population, including Asian Americans, in the Washington DC metropolitan area, and CCCVA is strategically placed to reach out to the booming population. The size of our church including Cantonese, Mandarin and English congregations is approximately 300 people comprised of seniors, families with young children, and young professionals. Cantonese congregation alone is about 45.
