Job Description

Associate Pastor Beacon Church – Londonderry, NH

FULL TIME

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Pastoral Leadership

• Build genuine, loving relationships within the congregation and surrounding community; ● In partnership with the Lead Pastor, provide pastoral care and support to the congregation; ● Preach/Teach 6-8 times per year (Sunday mornings/special services).

1. Discipleship

• Work directly with the lead pastor and staff to build a culture of discipleship throughout Beacon Church; ● Oversee Beacon Life and continue to develop clear discipleship pathways for children, youth and adults; ● Advance groups as a tool for connection, spiritual growth and care leading our groups leadership team.

1. Connection

• Develop a clear and effective strategy to help attendees easily take next steps in their relationship with God and the church community; ● Train ministry leaders throughout the congregation in outreach, hospitality, relational evangelism and care; ● Lead and advance a culture of hospitality; ● Oversee next steps process.

1. Worship

• Oversee Sunday morning worship services; ● Oversee and collaborate with worship leader(s). *Note: This job description is a general guide and may be subject to change based on the needs of the church and the applicant’s giftings*

QUALIFICATIONS:

●  Growing and deepening faith in Jesus Christ; strong Biblical knowledge and Bible-centered values ●  Knowledgeable in child development and Christian formation ●  Strong administrative, leadership, and relational skills ●  Experience in building, overseeing, and developing volunteer ministry teams ●  Strong written and oral communicator ●  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent ●  3-5 years of experience including effective team management ●  A calling to pastoral ministry
