Job Overview

This man will be involved in normal pastor duties at Fairview and will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive plan for Christian education that aligns with the vision and mission of the church.

Fairview Baptist Church is seeking to start a Christian Academy for junior-high and high school level students as a ministry to cultivate a robust Christian world and life view (click here to read the ministry prospectus). We want to help students obtain a high school diploma or accredited certificate in a Christian environment.

Job Description

Qualifications:

• A man fulfilling the qualifications of an elder according to 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.
• Agreement with our doctrine and philosophy of ministry. (We are a Reformed Baptist Church, family-integrated, and are active in cultural apologetics and evangelism.)
• A passion for teaching and discipleship and possessing a strong biblical knowledge.
• Ideally possessing a master's degree in divinity, theology, or education.
• Ideally possessing teaching certification in Alberta.
• Ideally having Christian education experience.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, as well as a collaborative and servant-hearted attitude.
