Job Overview

The Associate Pastor will serve under the Senior Pastor and will be responsible for leading music and singing in the context of congregational worship, for oversight of student and children's ministry, and for assisting the Senior Pastor in teaching, discipling, and pastoral care.

Job Description

1. Musical and congregational worship leadership

• Work with the Pastor to plan for congregational worship on Sunday mornings and evenings
• Lead congregational singing on Sunday mornings and evenings
• Lead the choir

1. Family Ministry

• Provide oversight for the children's ministry, including Sunday School and Wednesday nights
• Provide oversight for student ministry, including Sunday School and student Bible studies
• Equip parents for rearing their children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord

1. Pastoral Care, Counseling, and Teaching

• Assist the Senior Pastor with biblical counseling and pastoral care as needed
• Equip members to disciple one another by faithfully teaching Scripture and doctrine in small groups and one-on-one settings
• Provide oversight of teaching curriculum and resources
• Assist in evangelistic ministry
• Assist in internships for college students
