Primary Responsibilities: 1. Leadership and Discipleship:    – Provide pastoral leadership to ministry teams, including youth, children’s ministry, and outreach.    – Lead and prepare materials for Blessings Youth ministry, with the Youth Elder.    – Oversee and support various ministry teams, ensuring alignment with the church’s strategic plan.    – Participate in Consistory, Council, and other leadership meetings.    – Collaborate with the Executive Director (to be hired) to organize volunteers and resources. 2. Teaching:    – Teach and develop curriculum for courses offered by the church.    – Ensure that course materials are biblically sound and conducive to spiritual growth.    – Work alongside the Lead Pastor to create new teaching materials as needed. 3. Preaching:    – Prepare and deliver sermons regularly, with a focus on the evening service.    – Administer sacraments during worship services. 4. Pastoral Care:    – Provide counseling, encouragement, and prayer to congregation members.    – Collaborate with the Lead Pastor and elders to ensure members receive appropriate pastoral care. Qualifications: – Eligible or willingness to become eligible for ministry within the Canadian Reformed Church federation. – Master’s degree in Divinity or higher. – Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. – Strong biblical knowledge and the ability to interpret scripture for modern application. – Understanding of global and cultural issues affecting the church. – Commitment to teamwork, confidentiality, and fostering a sense of community within the church. This role requires a compassionate leader who can effectively communicate the Word of God and support the missional direction of the congregation.
