Church Profile
Linwood Community Church has been ministering in suburban South Jersey since 1934. We are in Atlantic County on the Mainland between Atlantic City and Ocean City, NJ. Currently, the church has an average Sunday attendance of 120. The congregation is diverse, with a large percentage of elderly members who desire to reach and serve young families.
Theologically, the church is conservative evangelical, committed to the fundamentals of the faith, and baptistic in polity. The music at the church is gospel-centered, congregationally focused, and blended in style. By blended style, we seek to sing congregationally the most appropriate Christ-focused songs from various eras. We seek to allow our ecclesiology to influence this by reflecting the diversity of generations in the church body worshiping together. Currently, there is a mix of classic and ancient hymns, gospel song era and contemporary songs, and a heavy influence of the modern hymn movement (Getty, Sovereign Grace Music, Matt Boswell, Matt Papa, CityALight, etc.)
