The strength of families is vital to the health and growth of the Church. This family includes the individual family units and how we relate to one another as the family of God. The ministry description outlined below reflects our commitment to "Growing Together as God's Family". As the Lord calls a specific person, we may amend the ministry description to reflect the individual's gifts or talents. As His Church, we are open to the Lord's leading and encourage applicants to share their heart for specific passions and interests within ministry. Ministry Description: The Associate Pastor would oversee the spiritual growth process of individuals from birth to young adults, provide support for family units, and encourage strategic opportunities for the Church family to help others to Trust God, Be Transformed, and Build Others. Associate Pastor will report directly to the Lead Pastor.

· Oversee the Student Ministry (Grades 7-12) to develop and implement a discipleship plan, teaching, counseling support, service opportunities, and plan goal-oriented events/activities.

· Coordinate with the Children Ministry (Birth – Grade 6) leaders to develop and implement a discipleship plan, evangelistic outreach, and family fellowship activities and events.

· Plan and launch of a Young Adult ministry.

· Be a resource for parents and encourage them to be a part of a Transformation Group (Small Group).

· Recruit, equip, and lead lay leaders to fulfill the Church's mission.

· Assist with ministry duties, including preaching, teaching, counseling, and pastoral care as deemed appropriate by the Lead Pastor.

Requirements:

· Clear salvation testimony, baptized through immersion, holding to the statement of faith (Baptist Faith and Message 2000) and adherence to the Church Covenant.

· Meet the qualifications of a Pastor as outlined in 1 Tim. 3 and Titus 1.

· Currently serving in the local Church.

· Experience – Consistent and ongoing service within the local Church. Preference is experience with Youth and Children.

· Education – Bachelor's degree minimum. Preference is a Master's degree in a ministry/theology field.

Compensation:

Salaried, starting at $45k annually + Medical benefits + Pastoral Expense account for travel, cell-phone, and training. + Three weeks annual vacation.
