Associate Pastor of Families & Connections – Central Baptist Church – Warner Robins GA About the Role:We're looking for a Christ-centered, people-loving leader to serve as our Associate Pastor of Families & Connections—someone who's passionate about helping people grow in their faith and get plugged into the life of the church.You'll be the point person for discipleship, Sunday School / Life Groups, and helping newcomers go from first-time visitors to fully engaged members. If you love building relationships, equipping others, and creating a culture of community and spiritual growth, this role is for you. About You:You're a man who meets the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3, with a heart for the Gospel, a love for the local church, and a call to ministry. You affirm the inerrancy of Scripture and align with the Baptist Faith & Message. You have ministry experience in a Southern Baptist context (bonus if you're a seminary grad), and you lead with humility, passion, and a team spirit. What You'll Do: Family Discipleship • Lead a clear path for spiritual growth from new believer to mature disciple. • Oversee new member classes, Wednesday night discipleship, and Bible studies for all life stages. • Strengthen marriage, parenting, and men's/women's ministries. • Encourage spiritual habits like Bible study, prayer, evangelism, and personal discipleship. Guest Connections & Member Engagement • Help guests become family! • Lead hospitality and volunteer teams to create a welcoming church culture. • Develop systems for discovering spiritual gifts, joining a group, and serving in ministry. • Keep track of member involvement and follow-up with care. Sunday School / Life Groups • Oversee all adult and young adult groups, equipping leaders and encouraging community. • Ensure solid teaching, healthy structure, and alignment with our mission. • Create pathways for leadership development and group multiplication. • Help ensure kids and youth ministries follow safety policies. Teaching & Preaching • Preach and teach as needed with clarity, biblical depth, and practical application. • Equip others to rightly handle and teach God's Word. Missions • Partner with the missions team to keep us aligned and active in making disciples locally and globally. You'll Also... • Provide pastoral care, hospital visits, and spiritual guidance. • Be a visible and approachable leader on Sundays and Wednesdays. • Help with weddings, funerals, and special services. • Collaborate with staff, attend meetings, and lead with vision and unity. • Support ministry budgets and work with denominational partners when needed.
