Associate Pastor of Ministries
Job Overview
First Baptist Church of Lowell, MI is looking for an associate pastor who will administrate, organize, and oversee ministry teams across the life of the church with personal pastoral involvement in student ministries. This job position has a dual focus:
- Administrative Oversight. This position will recruit, develop, and pastor ministry leaders, while giving vision and oversight to their areas of ministry. We are looking for an equipper and overseer, not someone to be the primary doer in most areas of ministry (though he may be directly involved in areas of personal gifting).
- Student Ministry. This position will have a greater direct leadership role in student ministry. This will involve being the primary teacher-leader of our Sunday morning student gathering and collaborating with a team of ministry leaders in our Sunday evening student gathering.
The job description can be adjusted from a 50%-50% division of responsibilities toward one of these areas of focus to fit the personal gifts and calling of a candidate up to 70%-30% in either direction. The lead pastor will work with the candidate to personalize the job description and clarify it in writing as a part of the hiring process.
This is a fulltime salaried position that reports to the Lead Pastor with oversight by the elders. This position includes the role of elder and will collaborate with the Lead Pastor and other elders in spiritual oversight of the church.
