Associate Pastor of Ministry Operations
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Participate in ministrial through involvement with Lead Pastor, Elders, Deacons,Children's Ministry Leaders, Parents, and Youth.2. Biblically shepherd ministry leaders and volunteers by maintaining appropriate methodsof communication and connection, helping them to grow in their relationship with Christas their Savior and Lord.3. Utilize Ministry Leaders to assisting the shepherding leades, volunteers, and participantsby maintaining appropriate methods of communication.4. Work with Lead Pastor, Elders, and Associate Pastor to direct Ministry Leaders in thecreation, implementation, and facilitation of spiritual growth plans (engagement in allministries, transition into next phase of Ministry i.e. Kids into Youth, Youth into Youngadult).5. Work closely with Pastor, Elders, and Ministry Leaders in order to establish and maintainclear and specific ministry operation information for areas and team(s) they areresponsible for:a. Ministry Overview (must align with church vision and values)b. Ministry "Win"c. Ministry Leader Position(s)d. Ministry Requirementse. Ministry Standard Operating Proceduresf. Ministry Leader/Volunteer Recruitment, Background Checks, and Trainingg. Ministry Schedulingh. Ministry(s) Curriculum6. All Ministry Operation Information should be reviewed a minimum of annually, (or more ifministry adjustments need to be made), with the Senior Pastor, Elders, and MinistryLeaders in order to:a. Ensure the organizational design is adequately structured for maximum ministrygrowth of leaders, volunteers, participants, and influence of ministry.b. Work with Senior Pastor, Elders, and MInistry Leaders to establish the Ministry,vision, direction, and growth goals, as well as, personal growth goals.c. Work with Senior Pastor, Elders, and Ministry Leaders to review the spiritualgrowth track for leaders, voluteers, and participating evaluating differentprograms, and Event/Activities impact and effectiveness.d. Discuss recruiting strategy and needs within the ministries.e. Review and adjust the ministry "win" as needed / if needed.f. Review current Ministry(s) positions and evaluate if new positions or personnelshould be added.g. Review and modify the New Child/Family Orientation Process (if needed).h. Review all Standard Operating Procedures and modify as needed.i. Review current ministry scheduling and modify as needed or appropriate (alwaysstructuring for maximum volunteer usage and growth).7. Work closely with Senior Pastor, Elders, and Ministry Leaders to ensure that StandardOperating Procedures are followed in order that the ministry objectives and standardsare being achieved.8. Work in Planning Center Groups to make sure Sunday School classes, Children'sMinistry groups, Youth Ministry Groups, and Wednesday Night Ministry groups membersare accurate, active, and attendance is being taken for each service.9. Work with Ministry Leaders to use Services to create quarterly Ministry Leaders andVolunteer schedules.10. Work with Ministry Leaders to develop, recruit, staff, and train volunteers to useCheck-Ins weekly to check students into activities and keep weekly averages.11. Serve as a Godly role model.12. Work with Senior Pastor, Elders, and Ministry Leaders to recruit new Ministry Leadersand Volunteers for all ministries.13. Work in Planning Center, or with the Church Secretary, to initiate/maintain backgroundchecks for all Adult Leaders and Volunteers involved in Youth and Children's Ministry.14. Work with Senior Pastor, Elders, and Ministry Leadres to create and implement a trainingand on-boarding system for new Ministry Workers and Volunteers.15. Implement and maintain ongoing recruiting, training, and discipling programs withMinistry Leaders and Volunteers throughout the year.16. Create and Implement a New Child/Family Welcome process.17. Apprentice Ministry Leader(s) to lead the ministry in case the Ministry leader isunavailable.18. Encourage and pray for team members, ministry leaders, ministry, staff, and church.19. Make the Ministry Leaders and Volunteers feel important and appreciated.20. Communicate Monthly with the Senior Pastor and Elders to report "wins" and challengeswithin the ministry.
PURPOSE
1. Honor and serve God and the families of Boundless Grace Baptist Church inadministering a Christ-focused, disciple-making ministries, that follows the visions andmission of the church.2. Serve as the Administrative Leader for the ministries of the church as the Pastor/Eldersdirect and assign tasks.3. Work under the oversight and direction of Pastoral staff and Elders to oversee thespiritual health and spiritual maturity of volunteers, members, and new participants in allMinistry areas of the church.4. Function as the Senior Pastor's liason between the ministry leaders and eventcoordinators to help keep the vision and goals of the Pastor and Elders as the focus ofthe ministries and events5. Serve as the executive arm of the leadership of the church in tasks and needs asassigned by the Senior Pastor and Elders.
JOB DUTIES
YEARLY● Work with Senior Pastor to establish written direction, vision, and goals for the Ministry Leaders(present to SP and Elders for review and approval).● Work with Senior Pastor and Elders to establish written goals for Ministry and Personal Growth.● Track and report MInsitry participants growth and where they are on the growth track (update given toSP).● Review, adjust, and submit the Ministry budget to the SP.● Work with Ministry leaders to plan, recruit, train, and facilitate the major church events (VBS, Men'smin, Women's min).● Celebrate contributions of Ministry Leaders and Volunteers over the calendar year.● Plan and Schedule quarterly training events for Ministry Leaders and Volunteers.● Plan and Schedule minimum of 2 preview events for members over the Ministry calendar.QUARTERLY● Review, compare, and record current Ministry(s) direction, vision, and goals with yearly plan to see if itis on track (update given to the SP).● Review, compare, and record current Ministry(s) growth and personal growth (update given to the SP).● Review, compare, and record current Ministry(s) spending vs. budget (update given to the SP).● Facilitate 1 training/fellowship Event for Ministry Leaders and Volunteers.● Schedule and announce Mmeber Preview for Q1 or Q2 and again for Q3 or Q4.● Attend Quarterly Business Meeting for question and answer purposes.● Written update to the SP and Elders for Ministry(s) Status (ex. goals, growth, budget, and upcomingevent(s)).MONTHLY● Weekly Services planned out with Ministry leaders (ex. Children's Church schedule in Proclaim,Announcements and Updates to AP).● Attend committee meetings (Finance, Building Deacon, Elder) to report info back to the SP and/or helpwith the planning and direction going forward.WEEKLY/DAILY● Oversee and help Ministry Leaders to facilitate Wednesday Night Ministry Services.● Oversee and help Ministry Leaders to facilitate Sunday School Classes.● Oversee and help Ministry Leaders to facilitate Children's Church Services.● Attend Sunday Services.● Love on members/participants by modeling Christ-like actions.
