Church Summary

Huntsville Hills Church exists to glorify God as a community of disciples who makes disciples from our neighborhoods to all nations. We are a new church that covenanted in January 2025. God is giving significant growth, so we desire an additional staff member with administrative gifts to help with systems and processes to ensure people are shepherded well and equipped for the work of ministry.

Role Summary

The Associate Pastor of Operations will serve for the glory of God to shepherd and equip the members of the church for the work of ministry through planning, implementing, and overseeing systems and processes. He will serve as one of the elders of the church in leading and shepherding the church and will have opportunities to preach.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will:

• Love God

• Love people

• Meet the qualifications for pastors/elders set forth in scripture (1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9)

• Hold a high level of alignment with the beliefs and philosophy of ministry of the church

• Thrive in planning and implementing processes in areas such as scheduling, assimilation, and equipping members for the work of ministry

• Be self-motivated and disciplined

• Maintain a desire to continue to grow as a Christian and as a pastor

• Display a track record of faithfulness in Christian ministry*

• Strive to serve the church for at least 5 years

*Seminary education preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Equip small group leaders and facilitate the start of new groups

• Work with the children's ministry team to plan and schedule classes and volunteers

• Schedule and oversee setup and teardown of Sunday gatherings

• Assist with the assimilation process from new visitors to members

• Use Google Drive, Planning Center, and other software to create and improve processes.

• Provide shepherding care for members with the elders

• Prepare and deliver sermons as needed

• Pray for the members of the church regularly

• Other duties as assigned

Schedule

Weekly: Sunday – Thursday, (Friday and Saturday off)

Required Holidays: Easter & Christmas Services as applicable

Vacation: 3 weeks, with further consideration of experience

Additional Benefit: Last Week of year is Essential Work Only

Salary

Base starting salary range: $52,000 to $70,000

Salary and benefits: To be determined with consideration of education and experience
