Oversee and lead a comprehensive Worship Ministry of Calvary Baptist Church that aligns with the doctrine and values of Calvary. The elders of Calvary have developed a philosophy of corporate worship that will guide this position. Specific List of Responsibilities Worship Leadership Plan, oversee, and lead all corporate worship experiences Under the direction of the Senior Pastor, work to align all elements of corporate worship in anticipation of the sermon Select music that is accurate biblically and theologically that encourages the congregation to worship in spirit and in truth Lead vocal rehearsals and band rehearsal in preparation for worship services Plan, oversee, and lead a choir that helps lead in worship Assist other ministries with worship components Plan, oversee, and lead special interest groups participating in and leading in worship. Hands on leadership may be delegated to other staff or volunteers. This includes: Children's Worship and choirs Student Praise Band Senior Adult Choir Equipping of Members Recruit, train, disciple members for the various worship roles in the church Provide pastoral leadership to members serving in the worship ministry Media/Tech Oversee technical components of worship including sound, projection, lighting, and livestream Recruit, train and lead technical volunteers to ensure a high-quality worship experience Oversee the use of worship planning software for coordination of teams and services Pastoral Care Provide pastoral care and staff support especially when there are music/worship needs. This includes: Funeral needs and support for families during times of grief Wedding needs including music direction and officiating.
