Job Overview

First Baptist Church of Forsyth, MO, is seeking applicants for a full-time Associate Pastor of Worship. This position includes pastoral oversight and leadership of the worship ministry and another ministry area consistent with the candidate's gifting. A master's degree in a theological discipline is preferred.

Job Description

Worship Ministry Leadership (50%)

• Work with the Senior Pastor to plan and lead the church in corporate worship for two Sunday morning gatherings.
• Recruit and train volunteers to serve in the worship ministry.
• Provide pastoral leadership and care to the praise team and worship band.
• Select and teach songs that are theologically rich and spiritually formative.
• Oversee music, sound, and media needs for all church events, including weddings and funerals.
• Cultivate an atmosphere of excellence and joyful participation in worship.

Pastoral Ministry (25%)

• Work with the other pastors to provide quality pastoral care to the members of our church.
• Occasionally teach in public settings.

Additional Ministry (25%)

• Contribute to an additional ministry area based on candidate's gifting and the church's current needs.
• This aspect will be tailored in consultation with the Senior Pastor during the interview process.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
