Who We Are:

At Lakewood Baptist Church we desire to hear from God through expositional preaching and teaching, to grow in faith through Christ exalting worship, and help one another through intentional community. We are a church of 120 (on average and growing) attendees from the Chautauqua Lake and Jamestown NY area, who are actively looking for an Associate Pastor to help serve and shepherd God's people primarily in the worship services, and more generally through relational pastoral care.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate for this position is a Godly man who readily engages others with the Word of God and eagerly draws them into worshiping the Lord. The applicant should be able to musically lead the congregations solo or with the help of His wife, but can also expect to be able to lean on a growing team of vocalists and musicians for weekly support. Whether you're inclined to urban or rural life, you'll find a fit in this unique and beautiful region. Beyond leading music, the opportunities for ministry that fits your gifts and talents are almost endless. Between the possibilities of a growing church, a city desperate for help with the homeless and international refugees, and a suburban/rural community that we serve with an annual Outdoorsman Dinner, there's bound to be people God has gifted you to serve. This candidate must also meet the qualifications for an elder as laid out in I Timothy Chapter 3 and must be in agreement with the Lakewood Baptist Church statement of faith and core beliefs.

Job Description

Major Responsibilities – Lead and support the worship team – Scheduling – Working with Lead Pastor on service format – Running worship team rehearsals – Tech and AV support – Scheduling

– Maintain sound system and equipment – Manage media on app and website

Minor Responsibilities – Teaching and preaching – Teach Sunday School and small group Bible studies – Preaching opportunities quarterly – Other ministry opportunities – With only one other pastor on staff, there are plenty of opportunities for a new associate to use his God-given gifts and abilities
