Associate Pastor of Youth & Adult Discipleship – Beloit First Christian Church  

Beloit First Christian Church is seeking a pastor of God’s calling as full-time Associate Pastor of Youth and Adult Discipleship. The church is  looking for someone who loves God and people and is able to connect with, students (grades 7 – 12), parents, and other adults to make and grow disciples for Jesus Christ.

The Associate Pastor of Youth & Adult Discipleship is a full-time salaried ministry position at Beloit First Christian Church (BFCC) for a pastor who is a maturing and loving disciple of Jesus Christ with a heart to make and grow disciples of students (grades 7 – 12) and adults of all ages through leadership and direct involvement in BFCC’s Youth and Adult Ministries, and under the supervision and direction of the Senior Pastor.

Responsibilities:

1. Recruit, train, and equip adult leaders and helpers to do the work of ministry for weekly student gatherings (Fusion), weekly Sunday Morning Life Group for students, yearly conference trips (Christ in Youth), and other strategic student activities. This may include personally leading and teaching as needed when volunteer leaders are still being developed.
2. Develop personal connections and offer pastoral support for adults, including parents of students, to make and grow disciples. This includes follow-up contact with Sunday morning worship visitors and guests.
3. Recruit, train, and equip adult leaders to grow new and existing Life Groups for adults.
4. Provide personal counseling for students and adults and refer cases to professional counselors as needed.
5. Preach at worship services, and conduct weddings and funerals as needed.
6. Oversee and manage the Youth Discipleship Budget, and the Adult Discipleship Budget by approving and making needed purchases of curriculum and supplies for ministry.
7. Attend weekly staff meetings, write a monthly board report and annual report, and attend Elder board meetings.
