Associate Pastor of Youth

Objective

Provide leadership and oversight for all aspects of the Youth Ministry at Memorial Baptist Church (MBC) so that students can know and follow Jesus Christ. The Associate Pastor will also be an active participant of MBC activities and ministries.

Responsibilities

· Lead and organize effective youth programs implementing fellowship, worship, biblical teaching, discipleship, and evangelism, as well as ministry and mission opportunities.

· Promote the unity, direction and vision of Memorial Baptist Church by participating in staff, leadership, budget, and calendar meetings.

· Provide clear communication to youth, parents, and MBC of events/activities in a way that encourages partnership and involvement.

· Recruit, train and shepherd volunteers with diverse gifts and personalities to meet the evolving needs of youth ministry.

· Seek to integrate youth ministry into all phases of church life to create a culture that is intentionally intergenerational.

· Provide biblical counseling and spiritual direction to team leaders, students, and parents on an individual basis as needed.

· Monitor all audio/visual equipment and computers recommending upgrades and maintenance to maximize performance and utilization of the youth ministry equipment.

· Lead youth ministry efforts to maintain updated info on all social media, websites, and app.

· Willing to fulfill any other duties assigned by the senior pastor.

Qualifications

· Models a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

· Gifted and called to youth ministry, loves young people, and has a passion for evangelism, discipleship and outreach, both personally and at the ministry level.

· Bachelor's degree is preferred.

· Previous youth ministry experience is an advantage.

· Demonstrates strong relational communication skills.

· Willing to become an engaged member of MBC and surrounding community.

· Ability to lead a team of volunteers and minister to them.
