Job Description

Community Outreach • Share in and provide tangible support for the church's vision to reach the Sunnyside community

Discipleship and Volunteer Development • Engage and empower all members for spiritual growth and full integration into church life. • Develop congregational fellowship opportunities • Develop and oversee a small group discipleship ministry • Strategically develop and match volunteer opportunities with individual gifts to serve the church body

Preaching & Worship • Preach as skill and interest allow • Share in the administration of the sacraments

Pastoral Care & Counseling • Support the senior pastor by sharing in the pastoral care, including visiting to the sick, hospitalized and shut-in; also sharing in counseling, weddings and funerals as the needs and opportunities arise

Education • Share with the senior pastor in the instruction and discipleship of those seeking membership in the church • Share in other teaching opportunities with the senior pastor and elders of the church

Administration • Support the senior pastor by sharing in the administration of the work of the church • Serve as an elder and as the senior pastor's alternate to classis • Chair elder, council meetings as needed
