Park City Gospel Church is a Reformed Baptist Church in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

In the last three years, the Lord has blessed us with the experience of having two men who served for several years as elders at PCGC leaving our fold to lead different churches in Canada. It is our great desire that the Lord would do this once again.

We are seeking a man who has a confirmed call on his life to serve as a Lead Pastor, and who desires experience as a vocational elder/pastor before accepting such a call. The goal would be, God helping us, that at the end of his time at PCGC, we would "send" this man to serve an existing church, to rejuvenate a crippled church under the care of PCGC, to plant a church under the care of PCGC, or to serve as a missionary under the care of PCGC. While it would be unwise at the outset to commit to "sending" such a man, we would have it as our aim to do so after a period of roughly five years. We would ask that the applicant agree, in principle, to seek this along with us. The candidate would be a man already recognized and called by a faithful church to be a lay elder. He would met the qualifications as set out in Scripture as an elder, and further, he would have demonstrated consistencies in these qualities for a period of time. Formal education is not a requirement, but meaningful informal study and training in Reformed Baptist theology would be required. PCGC would provide formal training, experience, and potentially access to and funding for formal education.

Job Description

The man whom the Lord leads to our church will serve as a vocational elder of the church.

Responsibilities would include:

• Monthly Preaching during the Lord's Day worship service
• Teaching Adult classes on the 1689 Confession
• Pastoral Counselling
• 1:1 Training and discipleship of men
• Participation in Evangelistic activities such as Street Evangelism
• Monthly Elder Council Meetings for prayer, study, and discussion
