This is an associate pastor position (full-time or part-time) with an emphasis on the youth students.

Essential Job Functions

• report to the Senior Pastor
• work closely with the pastoral team and lay leaders to fulfill the church vision of Big Church Small Church making disciples
• on board with the house church model
• committed to the ministry of prayer: willingness to do early morning prayer (M-F 6 AM- 8 AM)
• committed to the ministry of the Word of God: willingness to teach well prepared formal classes
• pastor leader who loves and cares about people and models servant leadership
• teachable, self motivated, and self starter
• motivated and passionate about reaching the lost
• oversee all aspects of youth ministry: Sunday School, Boy Scouts, Youth Small Church, Short Term Mission Trips, budget, calendar, etc
• recruit, train, and coordinate with adult volunteers serve within the Youth Ministry
• identify and disciple student shepherds, recruiting home hosts for home groups, and maintaining communication with parents
• teach and model to students our discipleship paradigm S.T.A.N.D. (serve one another, train in word/prayer, adore God, neighbor one another, disciple new believers)
• exemplify the "Way of the Shepherd" servant leadership of joyfully giving, serving, and sacrificing
• as needed perform baptisms, weddings, funerals, and counseling service
• capable administrator who can communicate, plan, and execute
• perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• pass a national background check and/or a drug test
• US citizen or legal permanent resident with legal status to work
• either graduated from an accredited seminary with MDIV or currently a MDIV seminarian
