Job Title: Associate Pastor/Youth Pastor

Job Type: Full time / Bi-Vocational

General Job Description: Acts in the absence of the Senior Pastor, receiving ministerial phone calls, leading staff meetings, overseeing worship services, and other ministerial duties of the Senior Pastor with the Deacons. Willing to build a youth program as an outreach of the church. Assists in discipleship development, serving as a facilitator/teacher in the different modules of training. Performs other duties as assigned by the Pastor.

Administrative

Supports the Pastor and the church leadership in the accomplishment of the church's mission through ministry effectiveness, evaluation, discernment, decision making, planning and overall direction of congregation.

Duties and Responsibilities

Must be able to preach and teach from the Bible at the Baptist faith and message.Must be able to relate to and care for persons of different races/cultures and socio-economic backgrounds with in the congregation.Must be willing to discuss all innovations with the Senior Pastor and the church leadership before taking further steps.The Associate Pastor will serve under the Senior Pastor to provide supportive leadership in the areas of preaching, pastoral care, leadership development and overall spiritual health of the congregation.

Qualifications for the job

Education: A degree or a desire for a theological degree or equivalency from a recognized theological/pastoral training institution. A desire to build up a youth program and reach out to young adults.

Pay range: 30,000 to 46,000 depending on experience
