The Associate/Youth Pastor will provide full-time pastoral leadership along with the Lead Pastor, focusing specifically on the Student and Children Ministries.. He shall faithfully proclaim the Word of God, pray fervently over the church, counsel biblically, and equip the saints to be faithful disciples of Christ. We are looking for a man with the mindset of serving here for the longterm.At Mount Zion Baptist Church our purpose is to glorify God, our vision is Christ, our mission is to make disciples, and our goal is to reach our neighbors and all nations with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Mount Zion is located 8 minutes outside historic downtown Jonesborough (the oldest town in Tennessee) and 15 minutes from Johnson City. MZBC was established in 1922 and is continuing to grow. We have a great diversity of ages represented among our 200+ members, with around 70 under the age of 18. We strive to create a welcoming and worshipful environment in our services, and place a heavy emphasis on discipleship and missions locally, nationally and globally.
