The AVL Technician supports the vision and ministries of Eastview by providing excellent technical execution of live and broadcast services and events while creating an atmosphere of worship using advanced AVL systems. This is a non-exempt position that reports to the Director of Technical Arts.

AVL Technician – Eastview Christian Church
| Ministry Responsibilities |
The AVL Technician supports the vision and ministries of Eastview by providing excellent technical execution of live and broadcast services and events while creating an atmosphere of worship using advanced AVL systems. This is a non-exempt position that reports to the Director of Technical Arts.
| Essential Duties |
Ministry Support and Development
- Assist with projects and design changes within the worship center
- Perform weekly service preparation and automation
- Assist with projects and implementations as assigned
- Coordinate and support for Tier 2, wedding, and funeral events presented in Eastview's reservation management software
- Train staff and/or volunteers for Tier 2 events as needed
- Assist the director as a runner for events and Sunday morning services
- Assist with other ministry events and projects as needed
- Participate in spiritual growth opportunities
- Assist in leading and developing ministry partners and volunteers spiritually and technically
- Support Bloomington Campus tech area with troubleshooting problems and occasional training of system usage
Leadership Development
- Carry the vision for live and broadcast production at the Normal Campus as set by the Director of Technical Arts
- Lead the broadcast volunteer team in the absence of the Broadcast Producer
- Participate in meetings, retreats, and the strategic planning process
- Attend periodic industry conferences and training classes
| Required Qualifications |
Experience
- 1 year of technical and ministry experience
- Sufficient experience in broadcast video, show, and live streaming production
- Proficiency in basic editing and rendering
- Understanding of camera components and operations
- Proficient knowledge of production (i.e.: Waves), system design, and project management software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional multi-tasking and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Publisher) and Adobe products
Education
- High school diploma
| Preferred Qualifications |
Education
- Bachelor's degree in broadcast or similar field
