Job Description:

Sunday School and Worship is held every Sunday morning, but no evening service. A Wednesday night Bible study and prayer meeting is held every week. The pastor would preach at the worship service and share in the teaching of the Adult Sunday School class with two laymen. In the past the pastor and the laymen have rotated teaching each quarter. The pastor usually leads the Wednesday night Bible study which normally is about 30 minutes; then the group updates the prayer list after which they have a time of prayer.

Position Qualifications:

Ordination in the Presbyterian Church in America, or willing to to be examined for ordination if not already. A seminary degree is normally required, but there is an exception route that can be taken. If already licensed to preach in the PCA, ordination is the next step when you receive a call to a particular ministry. You may see more details on the PCA website at pca.net.

Description of Organization

This church needs a bi-vocational or semi-retired pastor; someone who has an income in addition to his salary from the church. A manse is available which would be a part of the compensation package in addition to salary. Attendance at Sunday Worship is 25-27; Adult Sunday School, 12-14; Children's Class, 4; Wednesday night, 10-11. The WIC meets once a month with an attendance of 8-10; their Bible study is led by one of the members. There is a Church Family Dinner every other month, annual Fish Fry and an annual Christmas Brunch
