New Home Baptist Church was established in 1893 in rural Smith County, Mississippi. Our campus is large and modern. We have Sunday morning services with an attendance range of 30 to 45, Sunday evening services, and a fellowship meal and prayer meeting on Wednesday nights. New Home is a mission-focused church with projects local, state, regional, and occasionally international. We support the cooperative program, Southern Baptist missions, and several other like-minded mission organizations/efforts.
We are prayerfully seeking God's direction to find the next pastor for our church. We need a pastor that loves the Lord, preaches the Bible, and is attentive to discipleship and outreach. Seminary education is not required, but a plus. We do not have pastor housing, but we do provide a housing allowance. The annual church budget is slightly over $150,000.
Our current pastor's compensation is near the median amount paid bi-vocational pastors of similar churches in Mississippi.
