Second Baptist Church of Smyrna, located in Smyrna, Georgia, is prayerfully seeking a Part-Time / Bi-Vocational Pastor for our congregation.

Second Baptist was established in 1942 and currently averages about 35 to 40 people in attendance with plenty of room for growth. We are a member of Noonday Baptist Association and The Southern Baptist Convention. Currently, the church services consist of Sunday School starting at 10:00 AM with the Worship Service starting at 11:00 AM.

We are looking for a Bi-Vocational Pastor to lead the Sunday morning service with inspiring, biblically based, life-application sermons. The individual must have a passion for preaching God's word, have sound understanding of Biblical doctrine, the willingness to stand on God's word in the pulpit, and the ability to preach from Genesis to Revelation, without apology.

The right individual must be an ordained minister, born again, baptized believer in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and affirm their Baptist faith. Should have a desire and commitment to carry out the Great Commission as described in Matthew 28:16-20. Must possess the following attributes: integrity, good character, vision, humility, fiscal responsibility, purpose driven, good communication skills, mentoring skills, peaceful, patient, teacher qualities, gentle, not quick tempered, with the heart of a shepherd.
