New Beginnings Baptist Church and Xenia, Ohio is actively seeking a senior pastor vocational or part-time with the possibility of full-time ministry. we have been without a pastor for almost a year after the untimely death of our pastor Jerry Gaston. The congregation is small in number but big in spirit. There is a beautiful facility and surrounding acreage with large activity barn.. Position Discription:

Pastor position

Location: New beginnings Baptist Church, Xenia, Ohio.

Position Overview: The Pastor serves as the spiritual leader of New Beginnings Baptist Church, a small Southern Baptist congregation. This role involves preaching, teaching, pastoral care, and administrative leadership. The Senior Pastor will work closely with church staff, deacons, and the congregation to fulfill the church's mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

◦ Preaching and Teaching:

◦ Prepare and deliver weekly sermons that are biblically sound and relevant to the congregation.

◦ Lead Bible studies and other teaching sessions to deepen the congregation's understanding of Scripture.

◦ Pastoral Care:

◦ Provide spiritual counseling and support to church members.

◦ Visit and pray with the sick, elderly, and those in need within the church and community.

◦ Conduct weddings, funerals, and other ceremonies as needed.

◦ Leadership and Administration:

◦ Oversee the day-to-day operations of the church, including managing staff and volunteers.

◦ Work with church leadership to develop and implement the church's vision and strategic plans.

◦ Ensure effective communication within the church and with the broader community.

◦ Community Engagement:

◦ Represent the church in local community events and activities.

◦ Foster relationships with other local churches and community organizations.

◦ Lead outreach and evangelism efforts to grow the church and serve the community.

◦ Spiritual Development:

◦ Encourage and mentor church members in their spiritual growth and discipleship.

◦ Promote a culture of prayer, worship, and service within the church.

Qualifications:

– A strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to living out the Christian faith.

– Ordained as a pastor within the Southern Baptist tradition.

– A degree in theology, divinity, or a related field is preferred.

– Previous pastoral experience, preferably in a small church setting.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Ability to work collaboratively with church staff, leadership, and the congregation.

– A heart for pastoral care and community outreach.
