Job Description/Responsibilities

• Organize & implement a comprehensive Bible-based youth program, including Sunday School and Wednesday Bible Studies, missions, conferences, retreats and recreational activities, to include Southern Baptist Association Youth Program opportunities.
• Help the Youth Leadership Team set program goals, select appropriate literature, equipment, and supplies to achieve program goals.
• Coordinate with the church nominating committee to identify and select youth workers and chaperones for activities and special projects.
• Lead youth outreach program, visiting at least one school per month to support youth members in local activities and programs.
• In coordination with the Youth Leadership Team, prepare the annual youth program budget, and oversee the good stewardship of allocated funding.
• Maintain an active leadership and supportive role within the church, for events, staff meetings, and other opportunities as needed.
• Work with the youth and parents in a scripture-based counseling role.
• Working with the Youth Leadership Committee to maintain disciplinary oversight of the youth.
• Participate in a minimum of one church-funded continuing education conference per year.

Required & Preferred Qualifications for the Youth Minister

• Confirm and maintain a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Project a positive attitude, sobriety, and patience as a servant of the Lord.
• According to "The Baptist Faith and Message" support the Southern Baptist organization and programs.
• Actively willing to work in conjunction with the church leadership, staff, and body to support the church's ministries.
• Strive to be a soul winner and disciple maker of the youth.
