Central Community Church is an inner-city Akron ministry center that has made an impact in their community for a number of years. Our congregation consists of 50 to 60 congregants from multi-ethnic cultures and language groups as one united family. Recently, our pastor passed away after a battle with cancer.

We are seeking a bi- vocational pastor who is doctrinally sound, willing to love us, learn our culture, and lead us with a fresh vision to make a greater Kingdom impact in Akron, OH. The prospective candidate will lead worship services on Sundays, equip us for gospel ministry, provide discipleship opportunities, and engage the men in our community with the hope of developing leaders.

We are wanting someone to engage the community at least 10 hours per week through established ministries, as well asspending time to prepare and proclaim the Scriptures on Sundays. We also desire the candidate to live within 10 minutes of the church.

We are a Southern Baptist congregation committed to partnering locally with the Summit Association of Churches (www.summitassociation.net) and nationally through the State Convention and National Convention.
