Whittier Baptist Church Inc., dba Whittier Christian Community Church, is seeking a bi-vocational pastor. Located approximately 60 miles from Anchorage on the Prince William Sound, this small remote community has a year round population of 275 people. 90% of the population lives in a multi-story condominium and is accessible by the 2 1/2 mile long Anton Anderson Tunnel. Though small, Whittier is a multi-cultural community and, currently, the church has 5 different nationalities attending. Financially, the church is able to provide a furnished 3 bedroom, 1 bath condo, as well as a vehicle. The pastor must have outside income.
