He leads by example and advances the mission of the church through preaching, pastoring, and leading the staff and congregation in all aspects of ministry at the Arlington Heights Campus. To lead by example the Campus Pastor should meet the life, doctrine and skills qualifications described in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-8.

Job Description

Responsibilities: • Lead a private and public ministry of the Word and prayer towards the congregation of the Arlington Heights Campus, including occasional preaching as well as teaching at other ministry events. • Grow the congregation and staff in faith, hope, and love through the gospel of Jesus Christ. • Encourage the congregation to advance the gospel and build up the church through evangelism and invitation to worship services and other church ministries and events. • Lead a hospitable connection process that personally welcomes newcomers, orients them to The Orchard, presents the gospel to them, incorporates them into a LIFE group and involves them in volunteer service. • Pastor the members of the congregation through significant events in their lives, including but not limited to, child dedication, baptism, membership, marriage, crisis, and death. • Lead the pastoral team in shepherding the members of the congregation with a ministry of both proactive and reactive care. • Supervise and manage staff to ensure they are fulfilling their responsibilities and adhering to the policies and best practices of The Orchard in a biblical manner. • Collaborate with the other Campus Pastors in fulfillment of the mission and ministry of The Orchard. • Other duties as assigned by his supervisor.

Education: Bachelor's degree required; MDiv preferred.
