Cornerstone Church is located in beautiful Bluffton, South Carolina and is a non-denominational, gospel-rich, Bible-teaching church that exists to lead people into a life changing relationship with Jesus. Our church family is experiencing rapid growth with an average attendance just under 900 in 2024. We offer wonderful ministries for all ages and stages, as well as vibrant local and global outreach partnerships.

With our growth comes expansion and we are anticipating breaking ground on our new 55,000+ square foot facility that is situated on a picturesque 39-acre main campus with a lagoon, sports fields and walking trails. In addition, we are launching new locations in our region with Hilton Head Island targeted as our next campus launch by the end of 2025. We are looking for someone who wants to join a rapidly growing church and can help prepare us to more than double in size in the next few years. The Campus Worship Pastor (CWP) is a full-time position, providing leadership to both the future launch of the Hilton Head campus and the midweek service at Cornerstone Church. The CWP will work with an incredible, well established worship team at Cornerstone to cultivate a worship environment so people can experience a life changing relationship with Jesus.

Job Description

WE’RE LOOKING FOR A PERSON WHO…

• Senses God’s calling to lead a life-changing and dynamic worship ministry.
• Demonstrates character consistent with the ideals the New Testament lays out in texts like Galatians 5:22-23 and Colossians 3:12-14.
• Has proven competent in leading or serving in a healthy and thriving local church.
• Resonates with the vision and culture of Cornerstone Church.
• Shows potential for relational chemistry with the existing leadership team.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead worship sets vocally. The ability to lead and play from an instrument is ideal. 
• Responsible for weekly worship services from planning to execution at the Hilton Head campus and during midweek services.
• Plan and manage all worship services through the Planning Center.
• Lead weekly rehearsal and service run-throughs.
• Collaborate with other Campus Worship Pastors to plan and evaluate weekly worship services and special events. 
• Oversee a team to consistently create relevant worship environments including stage designs, lighting, etc.
• Shepherd team members and leaders within the worship ministry.
• Provide coaching and development to raise worship leaders and coaches at the campus. 
• Plan and manage all ProPresenter software for weekly services.
• Plan, create and manage all tracks in Playback or Ableton for each week’s services.
• Ensure livestream/online services are consistent reflections of the in-person experiences.
• Manage the worship/production budget and maintain all equipment.
• Establish goals and objectives for worship/production and initiate strategies to fulfill them.
• Perform administrative duties such as preparing expense reports and completing purchase orders as specified by church policies.
• In partnership with the Student Pastor, develop and equip students for leading worship.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ministry related credentials or degree.   
• Strong personal and growing relationship with Christ.  
• 3 + years of experience leading worship in front of audiences, organizing and planning services, recruiting volunteers, coordinating teams, scheduling rehearsals and worship sets, and leading singers and musicians.
• Disciple and lead the team members assigned to the worship team.  
• Assist in other areas of the church as needed such as teaching, discipleship, outreach and connections.

• Positive interpersonal and influence skills
• An understanding of how technology can be used in ministry

• Reflect Christ in your words and actions in your personal life and ministry.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by the Senior Leadership Team
