Position Title: Care Team Senior Manager
Department: Staff Engagement, Global Resource Team
Reports to: Staff Engagement Director
This position is: Full-time; support-raised; exempt.

Finances:
This is a full-time, support-raised position. Launch Global provides training, resources, and coaching on how to raise your own financial support. Some expenses for this role are covered by the Staff Engagement budget. The average length of time it takes Launch Global staff to raise all required financial support is three months due to the excellent training provided.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Resourcing care to all LG staff
- Direct, organize, connect, and resource care provision for all LG employees.
- Seek out thought leaders and organizations in the care field to implement best practices.
- Demonstrate discernment to assess care needs and make appropriate referrals to professional clinicians, partner churches, or internal teams.
- Build relationships with licensed counselors, overseas support providers, and ministry care organizations to expand a comprehensive care network.
- Foster trust with ministry leaders and staff, ensuring every staff member feels valued, supported, and connected.
- Maintain a high standard of care that is both beneficial and impactful.
- Leading the Care Team
- Oversee and develop Care Team members, recruiting for open positions as necessary.
- Create structured accountability for ensuring Care Team members' personal well-being and ability to provide adequate care to others.
- Ensure all segments of LG (LGI, LGUS, GRT) are receiving care tailored to their contexts.
- Create healthy, collaborative relationships within the Care Team despite its dispersed nature.
- Proactive Care
- Establish rhythms of regular engagement with every LG team and leader.
- Coordinate annual care touchpoints for every LG staff member using a streamlined system of questions.
- Develop tools to assess staff health and well-being throughout their lifecycle with LG.
- Gather staff feedback on care experiences to continually refine and improve systems.
- Implement a plan for meaningful in-person connections with staff to provide encouragement, debriefs, and support.
- Manage the centralized repository of care resources on LG's intranet, including tools for spiritual growth and handling topics like mental health, addiction, and conflict resolution.
- Active Care
- Recruit professional counselors and caregivers for staff retreats, gatherings, and ongoing needs.
- Provide guidance to leaders and staff for cultivating a culture of care across the organization.
- Regularly check in with high-level leaders, particularly the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), to support their well-being.
- Oversee staff sabbatical planning and preparation.
- Equip staff with communication tools, marriage and personal retreat resources, and emotional wellness strategies.
- Offer coaching to staff navigating complex challenges related to training and deployment.
- Reactive Care
- Participate in crisis response by contributing to the Crisis Management Team (CMT) and appointing Care Team liaisons for long-term support.
- Provide immediate support and recommendations for next steps when staff encounter crises or significant challenges.
- Facilitate counseling sessions for staff members and ensure appropriate follow-up care.
- Be available for on-demand requests to serve teams in times of urgent need.
- Organizational Participation
- Attend Launch Global conferences and retreats to engage with staff and embody the Care Team's mission.
- Raise and maintain financial support as ministry staff, demonstrating reliance on God.

Additional Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Christian leadership/theology, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of ministry experience, with missions familiarity preferred.
- Participation in monthly Day of Prayer and Evaluation (DOPE).
- Understand, affirm and adhere to Launch Global's Statement of Faith.
