Description

Oversee all programs for children ages preschool – 5th grade and for youth in 6th grade thought 12th grade. Job Duties (not limited to)  Choosing and preparing curriculum for each program and age level  Creating environments, activities, and programming for each age group that will facilitate learning and encourage spiritual growth. Qualifications  Commitment of faith to Jesus Christ demonstrated through testimony and life witness  Deep and genuine love for children and youth and a passion and calling to impact their spiritual growth  Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent of work experience  Outgoing personality and enthusiasm for children and youth ministry  Creative in programing outreach  Skill in virtual formats Responsibilities  Develop, run and oversee comprehensive ministry for children and youth For Children  Regular programs and events  VBS and other seasonal programs and events such as trunk or treat, Easter egg hunt etc  Occasional special programs For Youth  Regular scheduled fellowship program Youth weekend retreats (two or more annually)  Youth Service and mission projects  Annual youth mission trip  Regular in-person contact with children, youth and parents  Regular communication with children and youth via phone, text, email, and on social media. Ministry Areas  Encourage and nurture volunteer's involvement in children and youth programs. Be able to recruit, train and empower volunteers  Regular communication with pastor, parents and the church congregation in person, electronically or through social media  Participation in worship, leadership with pastor, including occasionally preaching, leading prayer meeting and presenting children's sermons. Administration Tasks  Prepare and manage the annual children and youth program budget  Manage program spending, including maintaining an expense report  Attend meetings and participate in programs of children, youth education committee  Attend staff meetings as scheduled by the pastor Compensation  Salary is negotiable on skill and experience  Job Open Date: The position is currently open Contact information: Interested candidates may apply by sending a resume and cover letter to [email protected]
