Children’s Director
Outline of Responsibilities
KidsPoint Programming:
Provide onboarding and oversight to Children's ministry Intern(s).Purchase, manage, and maintain supplies for all classrooms.Oversee curriculum for ministry in conjunction with other ministries.Provide lesson plans and materials needed for classrooms.Maintain the flow of KidsPoint programming on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights.Maintain classroom tidiness & age-appropriateness of activities & toys.Maintain check-in system.Create and maintain classroom rosters.Organize events including but not limited to: Baby Dedication, VBS, Promotion Sunday, and any other programs.Work in conjunction with other ministry leaders to promote and facilitate programming and events.Adjust, update, and promote rosters for all children's classrooms.Track attendance for all programming.
KidsPoint Volunteers:
Recruit & train all volunteers
Oversee Ministry Safe Training – update Bi-annually.Oversee Background Checks of all volunteers – update Bi-Annually.Provide at least one in-person training for volunteers per calendar year with an alternative option for those unable to attend.Maintain KidsPoint Policies, review and update yearly.Volunteer Appreciation Gifts.Create and Adjust monthly volunteer schedules as needed for all programming
Send weekly reminders to volunteers who are scheduled to serve.Create and maintain Church Center Service Schedules and train volunteers to use it.
KidsPoint Parent Ministry:
Provide resources for families (Children in Worship, Baptism, Salvation, parenting in different seasons, etc).Offer opportunities for parent education and growth that go beyond resourcing.Connect with families who have new babies. Coordinate meals and prepare/deliver "new baby bags" to welcome them to the Children's Ministry.Follow up with visiting families with children of KidsPoint age.Maintenance of Facilities and Supplies
Monitor classrooms for any needed repairs or adjustments needed to provide a safe environment for children and volunteers.Facilitate quarterly deep cleaning, clean out, and reorganization of classrooms and toys.Personal Responsibilities
Must be current or willing to become a member of Crosspoint Fellowship.Cast & maintain vision for all Children's Ministry (Infant-6th grade).Attend Weekly Staff Meetings.Provide Ministry Updates at Member meetings twice yearly or as requested.Seek out personal training opportunities to be best equipped for the ministry.Manage Children's Ministry Budget and maintain monthly expense reports.Meet with the Operations Administrator to create plans for growth in the ministry and your role.
