Position Summary: The Children's Director/ Minister of Hope Community Church in Brownsburg, IN, will lead and manage the Children's Ministry, focusing on the spiritual education and well-being of the church's newborn-6th grade students. This role involves engaging with guests and prospects within this age group and families.

Background in education and counseling

Anticipated Time Commitments:

1.Ministry work and preparation: 40 hours per week

2.Meetings and training: 3-4 hours per month (including SaLT Meetings, Children's Leadership Team Meetings, Life Group Meetings, Staff Meetings and Monthly Meetings with the Senior Pastor)

Responsibilities/Duties:

1.Oversee Children's Ministry

a.Provide direction for the children's ministry in alignment with the Great Commission and the Great Commandment

b.Identify the needs and interests of children within the church and the broader community.

c.Develop and implement programs that cater to the needs of the family and evaluate existing initiatives for effectiveness.

d.Planning and attending one summer camp annually and organizing a family outreach program

2.Leadership and Support:

a.Hold meetings with children's ministry leaders to pray, strategize, and share updates on events, challenges, and successes.

b.Recruit and train children workers, organizing one central training workshop annually.

c.Offer individual counseling and spiritual guidance to kids.

d.Engage in outreach initiatives to connect with children and families who have visited the church,including personal visits and follow-up communications.

e.Provide leadership and support for the Daycare,G-2 ministry, BLAST, Children's Choir, Musicals, and children's life group

3.Program Management:

a.Visit hospitalized children as needed.

b. Participate in professional development opportunities throughout the year.

4.Administrative Duties:

a.Develop and manage the children's ministry budget, tracking expenditures regularly.

b.Conduct personal evaluations with children candidates for baptism.

c.Coordinate children's ministry efforts with the SaLT Team and the church calendar.

d.Oversee weekly newsletters for children's ministry activities.

e.Create social media posts to promote and share about the children's ministry.

f.Reach out to children and/or families whose attendance has declined.

5.Event Planning:

a.Organizing and leading church annual outreach family events/celebrations (Fall Festival, Happy Birthday Jesus, Easter Egg Hunt, Vacation Bible School, and Summer events)

Pay: $40k-$45k
