Children's Ministry Coordinator North Oxford Baptist Church – Oxford, Mississippi Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (up to 29 hours/week for part-time) Job Summary: The Children's Ministry Coordinator will lead, organize, and oversee all aspects of the children's ministry at North Oxford Baptist Church, from birth through 6th grade. This role includes planning and coordinating all Sunday morning and Wednesday evening activities, developing a team of volunteers, communicating with families, and working alongside church staff to ensure a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment for children to grow in their faith. Primary Responsibilities: Provide leadership and oversight for all children's ministry programming on Sundays and Wednesdays Plan, prepare, and implement curriculum and events for nursery, preschool, and elementary-aged children Recruit, train, schedule, and support volunteers in the children's ministry Maintain a secure and efficient check-in/check-out process Partner with parents to encourage discipleship at home Develop and maintain communication with families through Church Center and other tools Organize and lead special events (e.g., VBS, family nights, seasonal activities) Manage children's ministry budget and resources Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings and church-wide events Ensure that all ministry activities are carried out in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of North Oxford Baptist Church Qualifications: A growing and mature personal relationship with Jesus Christ Passion for leading children and equipping families in their spiritual growth Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills Ability to recruit and develop volunteers Experience working with children in a church or educational setting preferred Background check and MinistrySafe training required prior to hiring Hours & Compensation: Full-Time: 40 hours/week; benefits and compensation commensurate with experience Part-Time: Up to 29 hours/week; schedule includes Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and weekly staff meeting To Apply: Please email your resume to [email protected].
