About the Minister of Children's: We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Minister of Children's to join our team atNew Hope Fellowship Church. The ideal candidate will be passionate about nurturingthe spiritual growth of children from infancy through fifth grade, with a strongcommitment to teaching biblical principles in an engaging and age-appropriate manner.This person will also have a passion for equipping parents as the primary disciple makerof their kids. This role involves developing and overseeing all aspects of kid's ministry,including kids Life Groups (9:00 am Sundays) Children's church (10:30 am Sunday),Sunday Night Programming, and special events. The Children's Minister will workclosely with parents, volunteers, and church leadership to create a safe, welcoming, andspiritually enriching environment for our youngest members.The successful candidate must have a deep love for children, excellent leadershipdevelopment skills, and a heart for discipleship. Event planning is highly desired as wellas the ability to recruit and lead a team. Experience in children's ministry, preferably in achurch of similar size, is highly desirable. This role requires a collaborative leader whocan inspire and equip a large team of volunteers while also being hands-on in ministryactivities. The Minister of children's will play a vital role in shaping the future of ourchurch by instilling strong biblical foundations in the next generation. The Minister of Children responsibilities include: Plan, organize, promote, and evaluate a comprehensive discipleship program forKids Ministry (birth – 5th Grade), which currently includes the Nursery,
Preschool, and Elementary areas of New Hope Kids Life Groups, Children'schurch, Sunday PM activities, and annual events. Partner with the pastor and Student Ministries to help develop a comprehensivediscipleship model from birth to high school. Coordinate efforts to partner with parents through regular communication andresourcing. Provide leadership, vision, encouragement, and oversight to children's ministryteam. Recruit, train, and support volunteers who serve with kids in all aspects of theministry, and enlist adequate volunteer support. Coordinate the process of upholding the safety and protection policies andprocedures within volunteer teams and throughout the ministry. Coordinate our efforts in providing excellent care for volunteers in Children'sMinistry. Plan and submit an annual calendar for the Children's Ministry and assure that allministry events are coordinated through the church calendar. Create an annual budget for the Children's Ministry to be submitted for approval. Coordinate the purchase of ministry-related equipment, supplies, and materials. Coordinate care for families using volunteer and staff teams. Assist in the selection, adoption, and implementation of discipleship curriculum. Develop strategies to communicate the goals and ministries of Children's Ministryand to assimilate church members into appropriate areas. Provide regular training for parents to enable them to better disciple their childrenin Christ. Give oversight to Mothers Day Out program. Help give oversight to women's ministry. Help with all church wide events. Perform other duties as assigned.What you bring: Education and experience Bachelor's degree – strongly preferred 3+ years of experience Experience coming from a church of 400+ Experience providing leadership to teamsKnowledge, skills, and abilities A team player and hard worker who is passionate about equipping leaders forministry. A visionary who takes initiative. Able to create events effectively. Can engage and equip parents. Connects well with the kids and gives lots of grace but brings correction whenneeded. Leads with creativity and adaptability.
