The Children's Minister is responsible for the development and implementation of the Children's Ministry (Birth – 5th grade) at Shearer Hills Baptist Church to effectively help children and families learn about and experience the love of God, grow in personal faith, and actively participate in sharing the gospel.

The Children's Minister will: · provide vision, leadership, planning, and implementation for all facets of the Children's Ministry, including Wednesday night and Sunday mornings, and annual events. · recruit, train, and lead the Children's Ministry volunteers. · oversee the selection and implementation of curriculum and programming. · be responsible for effective administration of the Children's Ministry, including budget and finances, policies, care of relevant facilities and equipment (with Church Administrator), and safety and security processes (with Director of ELC). · utilize effective communication to keep staff, volunteers and parents informed and manage communications between ministries that interact with the Preschool/Children's Ministry. · offer pastoral care and encouragement of Children's Ministry staff and volunteers. · participate as a member of church staff.
