We are seeking to hire a fulltime Children’s Ministry Director/Administrative Assistant to support our team of pastors and elders by equipping parents and volunteers to teach and model the gospel to children.

- Ability to recruit, equip, and lead volunteer teams.
- Ability to teach children God’s word.
- Work well with staff and under the elders.
- Previous experience in Children’s Ministry is preferred.
- Experience leading and organizing a large number of ministry volunteers is preferred.
- Experience working with children and families affected by disability is desirable.
- Organization skills and attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office suite
- Be a member of Cornerstone Church of Skippack in good standing, or be willing to become a member.

Job Description
Responsibilities

Children’s Ministry Responsibilities
- Oversee Children’s Ministry Programs
- Oversee all programming and ministry for children, birth – 5th grade, including:
- during the Life Groups hour (Sunday School before our worship service)
- Junior Church (During the Worship Service)
- Summit Kids (Sunday Night)
- and any future ministry endeavors.
- Oversee all seasonal and special activities for children, birth – 5th grade. This might include but is not limited to:
- Sunday night children’s program
- Easter children’s activities
- Vacation Bible School
- Work with Elders to choose and prepare appropriate and effective curriculum for each program and age level.
- Work with Elders to develop and maintain a plan to equip parents with quality resources.
- Resolve conflict that arises, serving as an intermediary between parents and teachers/volunteers.
- Should support be needed in resolving conflict, the Elders are available to assist.
- Ensure a safe, confidence-inspiring check-in and pick-up process is in place.
- Follow up on visitors who have children in the children’s ministry.
- Oversee all programming and ministry for children, birth – 5th grade, including:
- Recruit and Lead Volunteers
- Recruit and train volunteers to serve as teachers and helpers in Children’s Ministry programs.
- Develop a plan for ongoing training for Children’s Ministry volunteers, especially teachers.
- Lead the Children’s Ministry Committee
- Oversee the schedule for all Children’s Ministry volunteers to ensure that all needed positions are filled.
- Ensure all volunteers have up to date background checks and clearances; and are kept up to date with all safety protocols (this includes occasional fire drills)
- Hold at least one volunteer meeting per year to encourage, equip, and receive feedback.
- Recruit and train volunteers to serve as teachers and helpers in Children’s Ministry programs.
- Other Children’s Ministry
- Oversee Children’s Ministry budget.
- Ensure all parent and child information is up to date.
- Work with Youth Ministry leader(s) to successfully transition graduating 5th graders into Youth Ministry
- The Children’s Ministry Director will report to the Family Pastor
- Oversee Children’s Ministry Programs

- Create Sunday bulletin.
- Manage church calendar.

- Answer phones and check voicemail.
- Check and reply to emails (main email)
- Prepare signup sheets, handouts, and other publications.
- Create and mail postcards.
