POSITION AVAILABLE – Children's Ministry Director

Ashland Church – Oregon, Ohio

Purpose:

Ashland Church is seeking to add a Children's Ministry Director to its staff to better serve our children and families. This person will coordinate volunteers and be the lead teacher for our children's programming. They should have a vibrant faith and truly care for children.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Oversee general children's ministry activities (including nursery).

Coordinate, recruit, and train volunteers.

Help in selecting and preparing engaging lessons for children ages 4-12.

Lead children's church and Sunday school classes while also using volunteers.

Maintain contact with families to build relationships and connections.

Provide a loving, fun, and Christ-centered atmosphere for students.

Maintain high safety standards for childcare settings.

Pray for families and ministry regularly.

Qualifications:

2 years leading children's ministry preferred.

Heart for seeing children grow in faith.

Education or childcare background ideal.

Hours:

Primary hours are from 9:45am-12:15pm on Sunday mornings, and would like to see midweek programming. Weekday hours are currently flexible. 10 – 20 hours a week to start, with opportunity for growth.

Compensation:

Starting at ($10,000 – $20,000 annually based upon hours and experience.)

Growth:

This position has the ability to grow with more hours and additional pay, depending on the growth strategies of the children's/family programming and/or using other gifts that benefit the overall ministry of Ashland church.
