Purpose of Position

The Director of Children's Ministry is a full-time ministerial position whose purpose is to help children and their families find and follow Jesus.

Accountability

The Director of Children's Ministry is accountable to the church membership through the Personnel Committee. This person will report to the Senior Pastor.

Qualifications:

• Born again Christian with a call by God into children's ministry and has a desire to serve others
• Mature, highly relational person with a love for children and families
• A degree and verifiable experience serving in children's ministry
• Strong organizational, leadership and social media skills

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit a proposed annual budget and administer the approved budget according to policy.
• Recruit, train, and develop leadership for children's programs.
• Recruit and supervise paid preschool workers.
• Oversee all programming and ministry for children ages birth to fifth grade, including Kids Worship, Nursery, Sunday mornings and Midweek activities.
• Coordinate and oversee Kids Beach Club, Vacation Bible School, Summer Camps, New Believer's Classes, and support family outreach events.
• Coordinate with other staff members in planning church-wide objectives and goals, especially as they pertain to children and their families.
• Submit annual review of previous year's accomplishments and areas for growth.
• Keep abreast of current children's ministry trends.
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned by the Senior Pastor.
