Job Summary:

The Part-Time Children’s Ministry Coordinator will oversee and develop programs for children from infancy through 5th grade. This individual will be responsible for creating an engaging and nurturing environment where children can grow in their faith, build relationships, and participate in meaningful activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to Christian values, excellent organizational skills, and a heart for working with children and their families.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement a comprehensive children’s ministry program, including Sunday School, Vacation Bible School (VBS), and other special events.

– Recruit, train, and support volunteer teachers and assistants.

– Plan and lead age-appropriate Bible lessons, crafts, games, and activities.

– Coordinate childcare for church events as needed.

– Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on programs and upcoming events.

– Ensure the safety and well-being of all children participating in the ministry.

– Maintain and manage the children’s ministry budget.

– Collaborate with other church staff to integrate children’s ministry with the broader church mission and activities.

Qualifications:

– A strong personal faith and commitment to Christian teachings.

– Previous experience in children’s ministry or a related field is preferred.

– Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

– Strong organizational and leadership abilities.

– Creative and enthusiastic approach to engaging children.

– Basic knowledge of child development principles.

– Must pass a background check.
