Beacon is seeking a passionate and talented individual to serve as a Part-Time Children's Ministry Director. The Director of Children's Ministry will be responsible for overseeing all of the children's ministry (birth-5th grade) to ensure a welcoming and smoothly operating, safe, and effective program that nurtures, supports, and equips children and their families to be life-long disciples who know, love, follow and serve Jesus Christ.

Children's Ministry Director Beacon Church – Derry, NH

PART-TIME (20 HOURS PER WEEK)

Beacon is seeking a passionate and talented individual to serve as a Part-Time Children's Ministry Director. The Director of Children's Ministry will be responsible for overseeing all of the children's ministry (birth-5th grade) to ensure a welcoming and smoothly operating, safe, and effective program that nurtures, supports, and equips children and their families to be life-long disciples who know, love, follow and serve Jesus Christ.

DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Lead the Beacon Children's Ministry team leads and volunteers in the implementation of strategy and scalability.
2. Lead the Beacon team in the development of experiences that engage children at an age and developmentally appropriate level, both on Sundays and for special events/holidays.
3. Lead Beacon team leaders in curriculum development, planning, scope and sequence.
4. Ensures Beacon Children's team leads and volunteers receive appropriate onboarding, training and support
5. Ensures Beacon Children's team is affirmed, equipped, empowered and appreciated
6. Model a strong commitment to personal spiritual growth and discipleship of members of your team
7. Ensure volunteers are scheduled in a timely manner
8. Brainstorm and implement all children's ministry events
9. Attend weekly staff meetings

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible for vibrant and dynamic ministries to children at Beacon by providing consistently excellent programming that children and parents will love and want to invite others into.
2. Regularly engages and connects with team leaders and families on Sundays and throughout the week.
3. Provides leadership that grows and develops Beacon team leads and volunteers.
4. Stays current with ministry trends, concepts, and ideas that promote innovation in children's ministry.
5. Promotes a culture of staff and volunteer appreciation.
6. Supports the direction of Beacon Church with regard to mission, vision and strategy.
7. Ensures regular communication with team leads, volunteers and parents regarding children's ministry.
8. Oversee curriculum selection and implementation for all Children's Ministry programs.
9. Ensure check-in is properly staffed and operational each week.
10. Oversees all children's ministry events, retreats, and camps.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Growing and deepening faith in Jesus Christ; strong Biblical knowledge and Bible-centered values
2. Passionate about working with kids and families
3. 3. Knowledgeable in child development and Christian formation
4. Strong administrative, leadership, and relational skills
5. Previous experience with leading in children's ministry
6. Experience in building, overseeing, and developing volunteer ministry teams
7. Strong written and oral communicator
