Radiance Christian Church, a Bible-based, Christ-centered church is looking to add a full-time Children's Ministry Director to its staff. The Little Rays Children's Ministry Director should have the ability to build a ministry where children, parents and volunteers can grow in faith and connect relationally. This individual will report to our current Lead Pastor and the elders. The primary areas of focus will be as follows: 1. To lead, grow, and teach our children to love God and people. 2. Equip and empower our Children's Ministry teachers and parents to help our children learn more about Jesus and grow spiritually. 3. Partner with and serve our community in the Fillmore.

Ideal Characteristics & Qualifications:

• Someone who has a strong and vibrant relationship with God and a passion to see others come to know and love Him
• Heart for the next generation especially in a city like San Francisco and willing to reach out to our local community
• Experience working with children is essential, 2+ years prior experience working with a children's ministry
• The ideal candidate has a strong gift for leadership and ability to develop/lead others
• Ability to develop teams, delegate and encourage others
• Flexible approach to changing priorities and duties
• Passion to learn about and develop Radiance's Children's Ministry and equip and encourage its teacher volunteers
• Education: Previous education working with children preferred, but not required. Willing to take classes at a seminary while serving.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work under the guidance of the Lead pastor and pastoral staff to develop Children's Ministry
• Participate and attend all staff and leadership meetings
• Cooperate with other Ministry teams with whom the Children's Ministry shares space
• Prepare and lead the Children's Ministry worship service each Sunday morning
• Identify, train, shepherd and encourage all Children's Ministry volunteers
• Prepare curriculum and program materials
• Connect with parents and welcome new families
• Partner with our Family Ministry to minister to families
• Oversee seasonal Children's Ministry events (i.e., VBS, Easter, Harvest Festival, etc.,)
• Manage Children's Ministry budget, resource inventory and classroom set-up/teardown
• Partner with local nonprofits and schools to reach out to our children in the community
