About the Role

Impact Church of the Ozarks invites you to step into an exciting opportunity to lead our vibrant children's ministry as our Children's Pastor. This part-time role is more than a position—it's a chance to guide children in their spiritual growth and education while fostering a safe and nurturing environment. As the Kids Pastor, you'll oversee and develop age-appropriate programs, inspire and train dedicated volunteers, and build meaningful connections with families to support their faith journey. You'll collaborate with a passionate staff team and have the autonomy to bring fresh ideas to life within a grace-driven, biblically centered church community.

Audiences

  1. Kids – Ministry Leadership
    • Develop and implement age-appropriate programs (e.g., Sunday School, special events).
    • Oversee creation of engaging and biblically sound lesson plans.
    • Ensure activities align with the church's mission and doctrine.
  2. Volunteers – Leadership
    • Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteers.
    • Provide ongoing training and development for volunteers.
    • Coordinate schedules and delegate responsibilities.
  3. Parents – Family Engagement
    • Build positive relationships with parents/guardians.
    • Communicate regularly about events and updates.
    • Provide resources to help parents nurture their children's faith.

Administration and Organization

  1. Administration
    • Maintain accurate records (attendance, budgets, etc.).
    • Oversee management of ministry resources and supplies.
    • Plan and execute special events and community outreach.
  2. Collaboration and Communication
    • Work with church staff and ministry leaders for cohesive efforts.
    • Attend staff meetings and contribute to church vision planning.
    • Effectively communicate with children, parents, volunteers, and leadership.

Requirements

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Education, Ministry, Child Development, or a related field preferred.
    • Relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
  • Experience:
    • 2-3 years of experience in children's ministry or a related role.
    • Proven track record in program development and volunteer management.
  • Skills:
    • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficient in planning and executing programs and events.
  • Character:
    • Demonstrates a deep, active faith in Jesus Christ.
    • Passionate about working with children and supporting their spiritual growth.
    • Exhibits integrity, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Certifications:
    • Background check required.
